Photo manipulation is an ever evolving collaboration between photography and graphic design. Photo manipulations are a great source for inspiration, generally because designers are able to express their creativity through various aspects of design. Many people believe that photo manipulation was born at the same time with the explosion of the applications that allow modifications of the pictures on a computer. In fact, photo manipulation existed much before any photo manipulation applications on computers could be envisioned by the human brain.
As you can see I took this image with my camera when I visit US at Nasa center. My inspiration for this photo was actually to make it look dark and dull by putting different effects in it. I manipulated the photo with my photos cape software. I used light effects in the image like saturation, hue, and darken the picture. As you can see I completely change the time of day into dark evening with light orange colour of clouds which are read to shower after some time and I also changed the building colour into dark brown. My first step was to duplicate the original photo that way I could change one layer and no effect the original. Then my next step was to mirror the image by changing the building direction. And then this was my final result.
For this picture I did a self portrait of myself, I put my laptop on bed and took this image by my webcam. My inspiration for this photo was actually to make it look clear, blur with the effect of illusion and come out with two manipulated images. I like making my images and giving bright effects or filtering them.
The first thing I did was duplicated the original photo again so it would be easy to go back to the original. I then adjusted the duplicate layer by changing it to “brighten and putting contrast in it” (this takes the picture and saturates it with rich colour) and I also put some noise reduction which helped in making the image clear as you can see my face with no lines or spots. The next step I took was to adjust the hue/saturation of the colours and if you noticed I changed the background colour by giving the film effect of high cinema look. Then I changed the light exposure and lowered the offset to give a clear look. And so the last step I took was to make it look illusion. And then my final step was of changing the brightness and sharpness of the photo. I really wanted to bring out the extreme detail in my jeans so I played around with many things like putting sharpness, making it blur and then at last by putting illusion and go with that result. I really enjoyed making my image once again in a new different look.
